One time desert-racing pro and motor-tuning specialist Mitch Payton founded Pro Circuit in 1978 at the age of 18.
In the early 1990s, the Pro Circuit Racing founder changed the face of professional motocross in America when
he brought in "outside the industry" sponsors and challenged and beat the factory racing teams. In 1991,
Mitch Payton and a group of relatively unknown motocross racers (Jeremy McGrath, Steve Lamson, Brian Swink,
and Jeromy Buehl)contested the AMA's Supercross series under the Peak Antifreeze, Pro Circuit and
Honda banners. Six months later, that team swept the 125 East and West Supercross championships!
